The 'Grandes Marques' auction on Saturday 16 January 2016 will see as many as 60 lots go under the hammer, ranging from a 1965 Vespa scooter to a rare 1936 BMW 328 Roadster. The lots that are varied, but so are the price categories, making the auction interesting for everyone, no matter the size of your budget. Lots are available for viewing from Thursday 14 January during the car show.

BMW 328 Roadster
The rare BMW 328 Roadster is regarded as one of the most important sports cars of all time. The car was developed as a prestigious project for the Third Reich and had to be ready in time for the Berlin Olympic Games in 1936. The BMW 328 went on to win more than 140 races and rallies, including the Mille Miglia in 1940. Interestingly, this 1936 model on sale at the Coys auction will be in good company, as a 1938 BMW 328 Roadster will also be on display at the car show’s special display in honour of the 100th anniversary of BMW.

From Pavilion to Trajectum
The exclusive auction will be held on Saturday 16 January 2016 starting at 14:00 hours in the Trajectum, the general area of the conference centre. The addition of the Trajectum as an exhibition and auction space for Coys sees the exhibition space grow from 33,000 m² in 2015 to 35,000 m² in 2016. The move to the Trajectum means that the traditional Autojumble returns to Paviljoen Zuid, ensuring that the auto parts and automobilia have a stronger presence.
