26,648 visitors at InterClassics Maastricht

MAASTRICHT, 16 January 2017 - As many as 26,648 buyers and enthusiasts have visited InterClassics Maastricht. Over the past weekend, MECC has hosted the 24th edition of the classic car show that has already earned its place among the major international classic car events. With the 70th anniversary of Ferrari as its main theme, the organisers can once again look back on a successful show for exhibitors and visitors alike.

InterClassics director Erik Panis: "Despite the weather, we saw visitor numbers of 26,648, including buyers and enthusiasts from home and abroad. What's more, many of the cars on sale changed hands, an important element of the classic car show." It wasn't just the public at large that visited MECC Maastricht. With an exhibition area of 35,000 m2, 280 exhibitors and more than 800 classic cars, InterClassics Maastricht was sold out for exhibitors three months before the start.

70th anniversary of Ferrari
At the 2017 show, a spectacular collection of about 20 unique Ferraris from the Enzo Ferrari era were on display thanks to our collaboration with Ferrari Club Nederland. This included the 1960 Ferrari 250GT SWB Berlinetta Competitione, the MM 166 and the F40. The Ferrari 500 Superfast Speziale once owned by Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands was also on display, made available by the Louwman Museum. The French auto marque Facel Vega was also celebrated. In collaboration with Amicale Facel Holland Classic Job, the show featured a dozen unique cars. Preparations for next year, an anniversary edition of InterClassics Maastricht, are already in full swing. It promises to be a beautiful show featuring highlights from the past 25 years of InterClassics Maastricht.

The 25th anniversary edition of InterClassics Maastricht will be held from Thursday 11 to Sunday 14 January 2018 at MECC Maastricht. For more information about InterClassics Maastricht, see www.interclassicsmaastricht.nl.
