New visitors record of 34,447 set at 25th InterClassics Maastricht

Maastricht, 14 January 2018 - No fewer than 34,447 buyers and enthusiasts visited the anniversary edition of InterClassics Maastricht over the last few days. This was the best edition yet of this event which has grown to become one of the most prominent classic-car shows in Europe, thus breaking the previous record of 29,660 visitors in 2016. The unique collection of 18 prized specimens that were on display was based on the 18 themes that have been presented throughout the years. This collection included the ‘James Bond’ 1964 Aston Martin DB5, the original DB5 that the engineer ‘Q’ presented secret agent James Bond with in the film Goldfinger after Bond had completed his mission.  Also on display were the Jaguar D-Type (1956) ‘XKD 606, the 1957 Le Mans Winner’ and the 1967 Ford Mustang ‘Eleanor’ (the 1967 model was number 7 in the fleet). This car had been specially built by Cinema Vehicle Services in California for the box-office hit Gone in 60 Seconds starring Nicolas Cage and Angelina Jolie.

Erik Panis, InterClassics Manager: ‘Each year, it is a challenge for us to organise yet another high-quality exhibition for both visitors and exhibitors. As an organisation, we are incredibly proud of the fact that the general public turned out in such great numbers at this event at MECC Maastricht. Never before in the 25-year history of InterClassics have we been fortunate enough to welcome so many visitors.’ The exhibitors are also able to look back on a successful, quality anniversary edition considering so many of the cars that were on offer changed owners at the event.

The 26th edition of InterClassics Maastricht will be held at MECC Maastricht from Thursday, 10 through Sunday, 13 January 2019. For further information on InterClassics Maastricht, please visit
