Record number of visitors at InterClassics Maastricht

The 27th edition of InterClassics Maastricht, held from 16 through 19 January at MECC Maastricht, drew 34,473 buyers and enthusiasts. This breaks the former record made at the anniversary edition of the event in 2018. Over the last few days, visitors reminisced about the most memorable car brands and their epic designs from the past. ‘Forgotten Classics’ was the theme of this edition of InterClassics Maastricht, a happening that has become one of the top classic car events in the Benelux. In addition to the 24 ‘forgotten classics’, more than 800 classics and ‘young’ classics were also on display and offered for sale by 300 exhibitors. Several different brand-specific clubs were also represented, classics from a range of price categories were auctioned on Friday and Saturday, and the first edition of the Sim Formula Europe event was held.

‘InterClassics Maastricht showed that the interest in classic cars continues to rise (as also proven by the recent BOVAG figures) in spite of what various reports would have us believe. InterClassics Maastricht once again proved to be a real celebration for classic-car lovers. Never before has the exhibition been visited by so many buyers and enthusiasts,’ according to Erik Panis, Manager of InterClassics.

The 28th edition of InterClassics Maastricht will be held at MECC Maastricht from Thursday, 14 through Sunday, 17 January 2021.
